The father of the child “Haifa” is facing severe financial difficulties due to accumulated debts, which have prevented him from paying for his daughter’s medical treatment, follow-ups, and medications, hindering her from continuing treatment at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City Hospital in Abu Dhabi.

Haifa has had a mental disability since birth and is currently suffering from severe epileptic seizures. She needs 40,920 AED to resume her treatment journey before her health condition worsens.

The father appealed to kind-hearted people and charitable individuals to extend a helping hand so his sick daughter can receive her treatment.

He told “Emarat Al Youm” that his financial situation has worsened recently after accumulating debts due to borrowing money from a bank to cover the treatment costs of his sick father, who suffered heart problems requiring urgent surgery to save his life.

He added that the loan negatively affected his financial stability, leading to accumulated debts and financial obligations, which prevented him from paying for Haifa’s treatment.

He continued: “I am very afraid that she will not get the treatment, as this will expose her health condition to deterioration and revert her condition to zero.”

The father added: “I work at an entity in Abu Dhabi with a salary of 10,000 AED, and I have a family of four. My eldest daughter Haifa receives rehabilitation treatment at a specialized center for training and qualifying people of determination in Abu Dhabi. She recently suffered epileptic seizures, which required her transfer to Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City Hospital.”

He added: “I constantly feel sad about my daughter’s condition and fear that she may not be able to continue receiving epilepsy treatment, as non-compliance with treatment and medication in her case exposes her health to deterioration.”

He explained that “this type of disease requires special care and continuous treatment until the patient’s health improves and stabilizes.”

The patient’s father added: “My daughter Haifa needs 40,920 AED, and I am unable to pay any part of the amount because I had to borrow from the bank to manage our life affairs and pay for my sick father’s treatment, especially since I am the sole provider for my family. I pay the bank 3,500 AED monthly, and only 6,500 AED remain from my salary, barely meeting our daily needs.”

He said Haifa’s health condition has gradually deteriorated, and the disease prevents her from living a normal life in addition to her disability, appealing to charitable people and organizations to help him pay for his daughter’s treatment.
