Zamalek’s management is awaiting Mohamed El-Sayed’s return from his participation with the youth national team in the World Cup in Chile to finalize the renewal of his contract, which expires at the end of the current season. The decision was postponed due to the player’s international commitments.
Zamalek offered a financial proposal worth 25 million Egyptian pounds over five years in an attempt to convince the player to continue with the white team. Although this is the highest offer among the team’s players currently, Mohamed El-Sayed has not yet made a decision, preferring to postpone it until after his participation with the youth national team ends.
Recently, the player has shown a clear desire to pursue a European professional experience, which has delayed the contract renewal file with Zamalek. The management awaits the player’s final stance upon his return from Chile to know whether he will agree to stay or insist on the opportunity to leave to achieve his external dream.
John Edward, Zamalek’s sporting director, is scheduled to hold a direct meeting with the player during the international break in October to finalize the decision, either by signing the new contracts or announcing the desire to leave. Zamalek’s management places this file among its top priorities to ensure the team’s technical stability before resuming local competitions.
The club’s management sees the player’s continuation as a strong addition for the future but does not want to pressure him before his international participation ends. Therefore, next October will be the decisive date in one of the most prominent contractual issues within the white club this season.
