Supporting talented individuals, the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) provided a new inspiring space for visitors of Al Safa Arts and Design Library through the “Creative Shelf” event held from the 22nd to the 24th of this month. The event aimed to celebrate local talents, support and empower them to refine their skills and express their diverse visions and perspectives. It also offered visitors a rich knowledge journey encouraging them to explore the diversity of the local cultural scene, aligning with the Authority’s commitments to enrich Dubai’s cultural movement and enhance the emirate’s position as a global cultural hub.

The event agenda, part of the “Schools of Life” project under Dubai’s Quality of Life Strategy, included a series of interactive workshops that gave participants the opportunity to develop skills in resin arts, origami, the aesthetics of Arabic calligraphy and digital drawing, as well as learning character design, bookmark making, and voice performance techniques. Visitors also showcased their talents by participating in a variety of creative activities including a postcard wall, free drawing mural, electronic games, manga and comic book exhibition, in addition to a photography corner.
