Moroccan director Nour Eddine El Khmari is preparing to return to the small screen with a new police series bearing his artistic signature, produced by Khadija Alami. It is expected to be broadcast on the Second Channel in the coming months as part of its new season programming.
According to information obtained by Hespress, the new series is titled “The Shadow” and falls under the category of short works, departing from the traditional format of drama series extending to thirty episodes. The production team aims to deliver an exciting and thrilling material by diving into the world of gangs, uncovering the secrets of security investigations and intelligence, in a dramatic format built on suspense and fast pacing.
Sources confirmed that “The Shadow” was filmed in recent months in Casablanca, using advanced equipment and modern filming techniques, reflecting the crew’s clear commitment to delivering a strong visual product comparable to major Arab and international productions.
This new experience continues director Nour Eddine El Khmari’s journey with police drama, after he presented the series “The Case” in 2006, which received wide viewership and also shed light on crime worlds and police chases.
El Khmari returns today with a more ambitious vision in a work consisting of eight episodes to be aired weekly on the Second Channel, featuring a group of new faces he bets on to inject fresh blood into the artistic scene and relying on strong casting to provide a qualitative addition to the Moroccan drama industry, both in terms of filming style and dramatic structure and acting, especially as it breaks away from the traditional formats that Moroccan viewers are accustomed to on national channels, offering a different visual and narrative experience.
