The Beni Suef National Folk Arts Troupe presented a variety of artistic performances on the Ahl Suez Promenade as part of the artistic program organized by the General Authority for Cultural Palaces under the leadership of Major General Khaled El-Laban. This was within the framework of their participation in the third Suez Book Fair, organized by the Egyptian General Book Organization until August 29, as part of the Ministry of Culture’s programs.

The troupe delighted the audience with several folkloric segments led by artist Wael Eid, including performances such as wood chopping, the Suez Sahja, a musical interlude, and the tanoura dance, amid great public interaction gathered on the promenade to follow the events.

Activities also included face painting for children by artists Lamia Abdel Moneim and Hanan Badawi, and the fifth day of the fair concluded with a Nubian dance. The events are supervised by the Central Administration for Artistic Affairs headed by artist Ahmed El-Shafie, in cooperation with the Canal and Sinai Cultural Region managed by Dr. Shoaib Khalaf, and the Suez Culture Branch managed by Howaida Talaat.

The Cultural Palaces Authority’s pavilion at this year’s Suez Book Fair showcases the latest releases from its publishing series, including Popular Studies, Treasures, Global Horizons, Egypt’s Story, Literary Voices, Critical Writings, and Theatrical Texts, in addition to regional publishing and works by prominent intellectual and literary figures. The pavilion, managed by the General Administration of Marketing and Sales, also includes series on Cinema Horizons, Philosophy, and Fine Arts Horizons, alongside a dedicated corner for Qatr Al-Nada magazine and children’s books, all offered at discounted prices.

The fair welcomes its visitors daily from 6 PM to 1 AM with a diverse cultural and artistic program that includes literary seminars, poetry evenings, and art workshops for children.
