Manama, September 29 /BNA/ – Excitement kicks off at the Bahrain International Circuit, the “Home of Motorsport in the Middle East,” with the launch of the first round of the National Race Day for the new 2025-2026 sports season. This includes the Bahrain Challenge Car Championship and the local “Time Attack” championship, scheduled for Friday, October 3.

The National Race Day events begin at 3 PM and continue with thrilling races until 10 PM. The first round promises great excitement and wide participation, with fans able to attend and cheer for their favorite drivers.

The Bahrain International Circuit organizes the National Race Day in cooperation with the Bahrain Motor Federation and the Circuit Racing Committee.

On Friday, the Time Attack practice session starts at 3:20 PM, followed by the first qualifying rounds at 5:10 PM and 6:35 PM, and the second qualifying round at 8:15 PM.

The first round of the Bahrain Challenge Car Championship also continues with practice at 4:35 PM, qualifications at 6 PM, the first race at 7:40 PM, and the final race at 10 PM. Winners will be crowned immediately after the race.

The Bahrain Challenge Car Championship is one of the oldest national racing championships in the region and continues its journey this season. Formerly known as the Bahrain International Circuit Challenge 2000cc, the championship features 11 drivers at the starting line. Last year’s champion, Isa Ibrahim, returns to defend his title in his Honda Civic. Joining him in the first round are Muadh Al-Zahrawi, Ahmed Al-Jaidi, Ahmed Bajnid, Ali Al-Mansoori, Hamad Khamis, Andreas Biolo, and Rakan Al-Faiz, all driving Honda Civics.

The list of participants also includes Jamal Ibrahim in a Nissan Skyline, James Taylor in an Acura, and Karina Abdulrahman in a Volkswagen Scirocco.

It is worth noting that the National Race Day event at Bahrain International Circuit has seen strong participation in its previous rounds.

This season of National Race Day will include seven rounds, with the second round scheduled for October 24 and the third on November 21.

The season will resume next year with the fourth round on January 10, the fifth on February 6, the sixth on March 13, leading to the championship finale on April 24.
