The 11th edition of the Global Green Economy Summit, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, brings together a distinguished group of decision makers, officials, experts, innovators, and representatives from government institutions, private sector, academia, media, and civil society from around the world.
The summit, organized by Dubai’s Supreme Council of Energy, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, and the Global Green Economy Organization, will take place on October 1-2, 2025, at the Dubai World Trade Centre under the theme “Impactful Innovation.. Accelerating the Future of the Green Economy.”
Participants include Sauli Niinistö, former President of Finland; Sheikha Dr. Shamma bint Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan, Chairperson of the Board of Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan Cultural and Educational Institutions; Suhail Al Mazrouei, UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure; Dr. Amina Al Dhahak, UAE Minister of Climate Change and Environment; Flavian Filomiel Jupier, Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Climate Change of Seychelles; Max Andonirina Fontaine, Minister of Environment and Sustainable Development of Madagascar; and Muawiya Mohamed, Minister of Tourism and Environment of the Maldives.
This year, the summit focuses on seven main themes: technology and innovation, clean and renewable energy sources, policies and legislation, financing, climate justice, adaptation and climate resilience, youth and climate action.
