Yesterday, Tuesday, Tiananmen Square in the center of Beijing witnessed a massive military parade marking the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II, attended by several world leaders including Russian President Vladimir Putin, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, and Chinese President Xi Jinping.

EU foreign policy chief, Kaya Kallas, said on Wednesday that the participation of the Russian and North Korean leaders alongside the Chinese president represents “more than just an anti-Western symbolic scene.”

She added that it constitutes “a direct challenge to the rules-based international order,” considering the move part of efforts to build a “new world order” opposing the West, according to Al Arabiya news channel.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump accused the leaders of China, Russia, and North Korea of “conspiring against the United States” in a post on his platform Truth Social.

Trump said, “I wish President Xi and the Chinese people a great day, and please convey my regards to President Putin and Leader Kim in their conspiracy against the United States.”

In contrast, Kremlin foreign policy advisor Yuri Ushakov denied any “conspiracy,” affirming in an interview with Russia 24 channel that: “No one is conspiring, no one is planning anything, there is no conspiracy.”

The military parade also included Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, as well as Turkish Foreign and Energy Ministers Hakan Fidan and Alparslan Bayraktar, alongside the Turkish ambassador to Beijing, Selçuk Ünal.
