The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, in cooperation with the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security, Emirates Health Services, the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority, and the Department of Health in Abu Dhabi, has launched domestic worker services within the “Work Package”. This initiative aligns with the government’s direction to eliminate bureaucracy, enhance customer experience, improve government efficiency, and boost the UAE’s competitiveness and attractiveness as a global destination for living and working.
Work Package
The new service enables issuance, renewal, and cancellation of domestic worker residencies in the country, as well as medical examination services, all through the unified digital platform of the “Work Package”, “Work in UAE” at workinuae.ae.
Customers can easily obtain domestic worker residency services by filling out the unified service package form, entering domestic worker details, type of ID and passport. The employment contract is electronically signed via the platform, followed by the worker’s medical examination, with results sent through the platform, and issuance of the UAE ID and residency.
Khalil Ibrahim Al Khoury, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation for Labor Market Operations and Emiratisation, praised the partnership, cooperation, and role integration among all partners in expanding the “Work Package” to include domestic worker services, meeting the requirements of the Bureaucracy Elimination Program, in response to the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai.
Major Successes
He stated that the launch of the new services within the “Work Package” follows the great successes achieved by this package, and complements the pioneering results realized through the earlier launch of domestic worker services within the “Invest in Dubai Package” and “Dubai Now”, confirming that the UAE is confidently advancing towards consolidating its global leadership in providing integrated government services that meet customer expectations, especially through investing in digital development and artificial intelligence outputs.
Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, Director General of the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security, pointed to the UAE government’s new strategic approach in government services, which is integrated service packages. He explained that the Work Package represents a pioneering model of integration and cooperation among government entities, enhancing the UAE’s leadership in government services, facilitating customer journeys, and enabling them to obtain fast, comfortable, and secure services.
He clarified that reducing the channels and steps to obtain and complete the service contributes to improving community quality of life and supports the welfare and comfort of individuals. It also achieves the targets of the Bureaucracy Elimination Program adopted by the federal government based on wise leadership directives. This reduction will save time and effort for customers, increase their happiness levels, and help redirect their human and material resources to other aspects that enhance their quality of life. Moreover, this reduction will undoubtedly lower government burdens associated with providing such services.
Electronic Link Completion
He said that adding domestic worker services to the “Work Package” serves a large segment of citizens and residents in the country, enabling them to complete their transactions through one platform with simple procedures that preserve all rights. He praised the efforts made to complete the electronic linking between the relevant government entities and the cooperation and coordination among them to complete this pioneering platform.
The “Work Package” is considered a unique pioneering experience due to the integrated digital capabilities it provides to manage worker services in the UAE through a smooth user experience represented by a unified request, form, and payment mechanism shared by the concerned entities, the feature of requesting information once, eliminating visits to complete transactions, and reducing attachments, based on data exchange between the concerned entities through unified linking mechanisms, enabling it to provide proactive services to customers by benefiting from government enablers (GSB, UAE PASS).
