The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology continues its efforts to promote a culture of digital creativity and innovation among youth, enabling them to acquire the necessary digital skills to keep pace with rapid technological developments. Through the establishment of Egypt Digital Creativity Centers, the ministry aims to provide an integrated environment to support entrepreneurs, prepare youth for freelance work, and enhance entrepreneurship in the technology field.
In this context, the Egypt Digital Creativity Center “Creativa” in Qena Governorate stands out as one of the ministry’s key initiatives to develop the capabilities of youth and startups. It offers a variety of programs and services aimed at fostering innovation, technical skills, and entrepreneurship. The center’s main achievements include:
- Establishing the Egypt Digital Creativity Center “Creativa” inside South Valley University in Qena to support digital creativity, entrepreneurship, and develop youth technological skills.
- Enabling local youth to acquire practical digital skills qualifying them for freelance work and integration into the technology and entrepreneurship market.
- More than 60,000 young men and women have benefited from digital capacity-building programs and startup support services over five years.
- Providing diverse training programs and consultations including career path training, technical applications, qualifying faculty members and technology ambassadors, as well as summer and field programs.
- Implementing initiatives by the Information Technology Institute (ITI) and the National Telecommunication Institute (NTI) such as Digital Egypt Youth, Freelance Skill Enhancement, Fiber Optics Programs, Egyptian Talent Academy, and Cybersecurity Academy for youth.
- The Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) offers innovation acceleration programs, supports entrepreneurs, prepares youth for freelance work, and incubates startups to help them grow and expand.
- Providing practical training opportunities in programming, software development, robotics, 3D printing, and cybersecurity to enhance hands-on knowledge application.
- Supporting startups incubated within the center to develop innovative digital solutions in fields such as remote education, human resources, digital marketing, supply chains, and connecting developers with local and international opportunities.
- Equipping youth with the expertise needed to work as freelancers on local and international projects, enhancing their ability to engage in the freelance market.
- Enhancing youth capacity to establish technology-based startups and enabling them to engage in the freelance market locally and globally, contributing to the growth of Egypt’s ICT sector.
