The Global Charity Authority announced organizing an Umrah trip for 13 outstanding orphans under its care, as part of its ongoing orphan care programs, contributing to bringing happiness to their hearts and enhancing their social integration. The initiative is part of the authority’s annual plans aimed at enabling orphans to perform their religious rituals and providing experiences that instill faith and humanitarian values in them. The trip includes visiting the Holy Kaaba in Mecca and the Prophet’s Mosque in Medina accompanied by specialized supervisors, with accommodation in the best hotels, meals, and daily allowance provided. Dr. Khaled Abdulwahab Al-Khaja, the Secretary-General of the authority, stated that the trip reflects the authority’s commitment to its humanitarian mission in caring for orphans and ensuring they partake in worship and rituals that leave a deep impact on their souls, especially during childhood which requires special care.

He noted the authority’s decision, supported by benefactors, to regularly organize air Umrah trips for orphans, especially those excelling academically. He added that through these programs, the authority seeks to achieve social solidarity and enhance shared responsibility towards orphans, emphasizing that Umrah is not only a religious journey but also an educational and spiritual one that opens new horizons of joy and tranquility for orphans. He concluded that caring for orphans is a humanitarian duty and a great trust, and the authority will continue its efforts to provide everything that alleviates their life difficulties and grants them opportunities to live with dignity and happiness.
