Following the directives and supervision of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Executive Council, and in the presence of Sheikh Haitham bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Head of His Highness the Ruler’s Office in Kalba, and Obeid Saeed Al Teneiji, Director General of Sharjah Municipality, the first Kalba Medical Fitness Examination Center was inaugurated to provide medical examination services to a wide segment of society, aligning with the goals of enhancing the public health system in the emirate and providing high-quality, efficient services.
The opening was attended by Dr. Ahmed Saeed Al Mazrouei, Director of Kalba Municipality, Adel Omar Salem, Director of Public Health and Central Laboratories at Sharjah Municipality, and a group of officials.
Geographical Spread
Obeid Al Teneiji confirmed that this opening reflects the municipality’s keenness to expand medical fitness centers and their geographical spread across various cities and areas of Sharjah to enhance the quality and sustainability of healthy life, providing medical services according to the best standards under the supervision of an experienced and competent medical staff.
He explained that the center is an extension of other widely spread centers in different cities and areas of Sharjah to facilitate customers and complete services according to the best standards easily, responding to community needs. The municipality completed all required works and site preparation in record time, and the center began receiving clients immediately after opening.
Equipment and Staff
Adel Omar Salem confirmed that the center is equipped with distinguished medical staff and modern, advanced equipment to provide high-quality services. It currently offers medical examination services for residency and issues professional health cards for workers in establishments related to public health. Services will gradually expand according to the adopted plans, noting that the client journey is characterized by ease and speed in completing the service.
Dr. Ahmed Saeed Al Mazrouei, Director of Kalba Municipality, praised the support provided by Sharjah Municipality in opening the center, completing the required works, and providing equipment and medical staff in record time. He said: “We aspire to provide high-quality services targeting a wide segment of society, facilitating and pleasing clients. The immediate reception of clients after the opening reflects its importance and role in providing medical examination services. Services offered by the center will gradually expand to become comprehensive and integrated.”
On the sidelines of the opening, Sharjah Municipality showcased an air quality measuring vehicle launched to monitor air quality in various parts of the city accurately and continuously, providing precise results that contribute to making appropriate decisions and necessary follow-ups to monitor any changes in air quality and work on addressing them.
