Washington, September 30 / BNA / OpenAI achieved revenues of about $4.3 billion in the first half of this year, which is approximately 16 percent more than what it earned throughout last year.

The report published yesterday, Monday, on the news site The Information, added that OpenAI said it spent a large amount of $2.5 billion, largely due to research and development costs for AI development and operating ChatGPT.

Earlier this month, OpenAI significantly raised its cash burn forecast through 2029 to $115 billion as it intensifies spending on AI tools supporting the popular chatbot ChatGPT.
