Storm Alice caused floods on the Spanish islands of Mallorca and Ibiza, as well as other islands in the Balearic archipelago, according to local media.
The Diario de Mallorca newspaper reported, citing authorities in the Mediterranean islands popular with tourists, that several streets and underground parking garages were flooded by heavy rain on Sunday.
On Mallorca island, the capital Palma was particularly affected, although no injuries have been reported so far.
By the afternoon, emergency services in the Balearic Islands recorded 38 flood cases in Ibiza and eight in Mallorca, along with other emergencies.
The storm had severely impacted the Valencia region before reaching the Balearic Islands since last Thursday. Tourists also felt its effects, with many flights canceled on Saturday.
At Palma International Airport, 19 flights out of 942 scheduled were canceled, according to airport service providers.
In Ibiza, air traffic was temporarily suspended between 6:00 PM local time (16:00 GMT) and 7:20 PM local time due to heavy rain and flooding on the runway.
A total of 24 flights—12 arrivals and 12 departures—out of 295 scheduled were canceled. By Sunday, air traffic had largely returned to normal.
