Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, “With God’s help, we will bring them all home,” referring to the Israeli hostages held in Gaza, shortly after U.S. President Donald Trump announced that Israel and Hamas had signed the first phase of an agreement regarding Gaza.
Netanyahu added in a statement, “Today is a great day for Israel.”
He continued, “I will call a government meeting today to approve the agreement and bring all our beloved hostages home.”
Netanyahu thanked “the Israeli soldiers and all security forces who, thanks to their courage and sacrifices, brought us to this day… I deeply thank President Trump and his team for mobilizing for this sacred mission to free our hostages.”
He emphasized, “With God’s will, we will continue together to achieve all our goals and expand peace with our neighbors.”
Netanyahu pointed out that “by approving the first phase of the plan, all our hostages will be returned home,” adding, “This is a diplomatic success and a national and moral victory for the State of Israel.”
He also stressed that “thanks to firm determination, strong military action, and the great efforts of our friend and great ally President Trump, we have reached this critical turning point.”
Netanyahu thanked Trump “for his leadership, partnership, and steadfast commitment to Israel’s security and the freedom of our hostages.”
The Israeli Prime Minister’s office issued a statement saying Netanyahu and U.S. President Donald Trump exchanged congratulations in a call on the achievement of signing the agreement to release all hostages.
According to the statement, Netanyahu “invited Trump to deliver a speech before the Israeli Knesset.”
Qatar, which is mediating between Israel and Hamas to stop the war ongoing for two years in the Gaza Strip, confirmed that both parties agreed on all terms of the first phase of U.S. President Donald Trump’s plan to stop the war in the Palestinian territory.
In a post on the “X” platform, Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesman Majid Al-Ansari said, “The mediators announce that tonight all terms and mechanisms for implementing the first phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement were agreed upon, leading to stopping the war, releasing Israeli detainees and Palestinian prisoners, and allowing aid to enter, with details to be announced later.”
Hamas stated in a statement that an agreement was reached to end the war on Gaza, withdraw the occupation, allow aid in, and exchange prisoners.
The statement expressed high appreciation for the efforts of the brotherly mediators in Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey, and also valued U.S. President Donald Trump’s efforts to permanently stop the war and ensure full withdrawal of the occupation from Gaza.
The statement called on President Trump, the guarantor countries of the agreement, and various Arab, Islamic, and international parties to obligate the Israeli government to fully implement the agreement’s terms and not allow it to evade or delay applying what was agreed upon.
U.S. President Donald Trump announced that “Israel and Hamas have signed the first phase of our peace plan.”
In a post on the “Truth Social” platform, Trump said, “I am very proud to announce that both Israel and Hamas have agreed to the first phase of the peace plan we presented,” adding, “This means all hostages will be released very soon.”
He explained that “Israel will withdraw its forces to an agreed line as first steps toward a strong and lasting peace.”
He confirmed that “all parties will be treated fairly.”
He concluded, “It is a great day for the Arab and Islamic worlds, for Israel, for all neighboring countries, and for the United States. We thank the mediators from Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey who worked with us to achieve this historic and unprecedented event. All appreciation to the peacemakers!”
