Following US President Donald Trump’s offer to Hamas and Hamas’ response regarding the Gaza Strip, Israel responded.
“Nonsense”
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant replied to Hamas’ statement, saying, “The movement is still deceiving and speaking nonsense, but it will soon realize it must choose between two options: either accept Israel’s conditions to end the war, primarily the release of all prisoners and disarmament, or Gaza will become like Rafah and Beit Hanoun,” according to him.
He added that the Israeli army is preparing with full force.
In a related context, the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded to Hamas’ announcement, calling it another attempt with nothing new.
He continued that the war can end immediately according to the conditions set by the cabinet, including the release of all hostages, disarming Hamas, disarming the Gaza Strip, and Israeli security control over Gaza with the formation of an alternative civilian government that does not threaten Israel, according to the statement.
He believed these conditions alone are sufficient to prevent Hamas from rearming and repeating what happened on October 7 repeatedly as promised, according to his claim.
All these developments came after US President Donald Trump demanded Hamas immediately release the twenty Israeli hostages in exchange for an immediate end to the war.
Trump wrote on the “Truth Social” platform on Wednesday, “Tell Hamas to immediately return all twenty hostages (not 2 or 5 or 7), and everything will change quickly,” adding, “The war will end.”
Meanwhile, US envoy Steve Witkoff considered Hamas’ response to the offer to release everyone as “positive.”
On Wednesday, Hamas announced its readiness to conclude a comprehensive deal in the besieged Gaza Strip, confirming in a statement that it is prepared to release all Israeli prisoners.

“Achieving War Goals”
It is worth noting that Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant approved on August 21 the so-called “Gideon Vehicles 2” aimed at fully occupying Gaza City, after more than two weeks of a large-scale military operation in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, which extended to the adjacent Al-Sabra neighborhood south of Gaza City.
Meanwhile, Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir announced on Wednesday the start of the second phase of the “Gideon Vehicles” operation in the Gaza Strip, confirming that the goal is to achieve the war’s objectives by intensifying fighting and deepening the military maneuver.
