The “ChatGPT Go” subscription allows users to access all features of the free version, along with expanded capabilities for image generation, file uploads, and advanced data analytics.
OpenAI first launched the package in India at a price of $4.5 per month in August, which led to a doubling of paid subscriptions in the country, followed by Indonesia in September amid fierce competition with other AI companies.
This expansion comes at a pivotal moment for OpenAI. At the DevDay 2025 conference held this week in San Francisco, CEO Sam Altman announced that ChatGPT has reached 800 million active weekly users worldwide, up from 700 million in August.
