The Cinematographers Syndicate hosted the awards ceremony for the TV screenplay competition attended by Actors’ Syndicate head Dr. Ashraf Zaki and Cinematographers’ Syndicate head director Masad Fouda, along with director Mohamed Al-Naqly and former censorship chief Dr. Khaled Abdel Jalil. Dr. Ashraf Zaki emphasized that the competition is a good initiative to elevate the level of TV screenplays and discover talents in social and comedic series, reflecting cooperation between the two syndicates. Masad Fouda highlighted that the collaboration is a long-term goal to advance the artistic movement in the country. The competition, sponsored by A Media for Artistic Production and chaired by engineer Ali Ibrahim, received 120 screenplay submissions, narrowed down to 12, and finally four winning scripts after episode writing. Winners in the social series category were “Aziza” by Mohamed Hosni (1st place) and “Ahlam” by Ahmed Al-Zawi (2nd place).
In the comedy category, “Nar Hadi’a” by Sandy Ashraf and Mahmoud Mokhles won first place, and “Hawamel Garden City” by Amir Mohamed took second. Prize values were announced: 500,000 EGP for the first social series with 50,000 EGP advance, and 400,000 EGP for the second with 40,000 EGP advance. The judging panel included respected figures such as director Mohamed Al-Naqly, writer and screenwriter Hatem Hafez, and author Ahmed Sobhi.
