Confirming Dubai’s leadership in digital transformation, the Dubai Land Department launched the first phase of the “Digital Sale Service” through the Dubai Now app during its participation in GITEX Global 2025. This achievement reflects the emirate’s commitment to the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and the Dubai Real Estate Sector Strategy 2033 by setting new standards for speed, reliability, and efficiency in real estate transactions, aligning with Dubai’s ambitions to build a sustainable digital knowledge economy.

The service offers a qualitative leap in transaction processing by enabling users to complete sale and registration procedures entirely digitally via the Dubai Now app, using electronic signatures through the UAE Pass digital identity, from anywhere and at any time, in line with Dubai government’s directives to launch services through unified channels.

This service reshapes the experience of buying, selling, and registering real estate by simplifying procedures, accelerating completion, and ensuring the highest levels of security, trust, and transparency, enhancing Dubai’s real estate investment attractiveness and supporting its position as a global destination for sustainable investment.

A Fully Digital Sale Journey Between Seller and Buyer

The journey starts with creating the sales contract electronically, which the seller signs and sends to the buyer via the platform to complete their signature. Then, the buyer transfers the amount to the service’s dedicated account, and the ownership deed is issued immediately in the buyer’s name through the app, providing a fully integrated digital experience that simplifies procedures and guarantees maximum security and reliability.

Given the exceptional performance of the real estate sector in recent years, the digital sale service boosts this momentum and contributes to sustainable growth by opening new horizons for 100% integrated digital services and providing an innovative real estate environment that strengthens Dubai’s leadership in attracting global investments.

Conditions to Be Met

The Dubai Land Department has set conditions to ensure smooth digital sale transactions via Dubai Now, including that both seller and buyer hold valid UAE ID cards, have an activated account on the UAE PASS digital identity system enabling approved electronic signatures, that the property is within freehold areas and classified as residential, commercial units, or townhouse homes, that it is owned by a single owner, not linked to any mortgage, and that there is a bank account within the country.

The Dubai Now app, the unified platform for individual services in the city, provides access to over 350 services from 50 government and private entities and can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play.

At GITEX, the department also showcases the “Instant Real Estate Registration Platform,” an advanced interactive screen displaying real-time property transaction data across Dubai’s areas, enhancing transparency and trust in the real estate market. Additionally, the department will reveal a package of pioneering digital projects and initiatives aimed at accelerating digital transformation, improving real estate operations efficiency, and enhancing customer experience to support Dubai’s competitiveness and sustainable real estate growth.
