Media personality Ahmed Moussa commented on the recent statement issued by the Ministry of Housing regarding the Zamalek Club land in 6th of October City, emphasizing that although the statement is brief, it carries very serious implications. He said every word in the statement has a specific meaning and must be considered carefully.

On his program “Ala Mas’ouliati” on Sada El Balad channel, Moussa reviewed the Ministry’s statement confirming the legality of the procedures taken concerning the land withdrawal, stressing the ministry’s full commitment to the law and regulations.

The statement also clarified that the ministry will not take any action related to reallocation or changing the land’s current status until a decision is issued by the Public Prosecution regarding the filed report about the change of use. Additionally, the ministry expressed readiness to study allocating an alternative land plot to the club if an official request is submitted.

Moussa continued reviewing the statement, saying: “According to the statement, this land has an issue, and the Zamalek board must now issue a statement supporting its position and provide all documents proving its entitlement.”

He pointed out that this statement represents a very dangerous step, especially since it indicates ongoing investigations in the case.

Ahmed Moussa added that the ministry possesses official documents and statements concerning the land in 6th of October, emphasizing the necessity for Zamalek Club to show that it has not received any documents from the Ministry of Housing regarding the land.

He said: “Zamalek does not belong to anyone; it belongs to its fans and members. The Zamalek fans have rights over every official, and there must be clarification to the public.”

Moussa questioned why the land allocated to Zamalek since 2003 has been neglected, noting that other clubs like Al Ahly have established many headquarters since then. He added: “Zamalek is not a small club; it is a big, championship-winning club, and I care about Zamalek as much as I care about Al Ahly and Ismaily.”

He concluded: “Football without Zamalek or Al Ahly is not really football in Egypt,” expressing regret over the club’s current situation and questioning the role of the ministers who have held the Housing Ministry since 2003 until now. He stressed that Zamalek must present the truth and respond officially to the latest statement.
