Ahmed El-Agooz has returned to the Ismaily bench for the upcoming match against Ghazl El Mahalla after serving a one-match suspension and paying a fine due to his red card in a previous game against Al Ittihad Alexandria. Ismaily is preparing for the fifth round of the Egyptian Premier League at the Suez Canal Authority Stadium. Despite the team’s efforts to strengthen their squad and improve performance after a disappointing start to the season, several key players are sidelined due to serious injuries. Forward Marwan Hamdy suffered two fractures in his right foot during the second round match against Pyramids and requires about a month to recover. Additionally, Hatem Sukkar is out with an ACL injury, and midfielder Mohamed Hassan is undergoing rehabilitation for an Achilles tendon injury sustained last season against Zamalek, needing two months to return.
Palestinian striker Khaled Al-Nabresi also continues intensive rehab after a complex elbow fracture last season to be ready for the new campaign.
