A group of leading researchers and experts highlighted the transformative role of artificial intelligence in advancing medical research and life sciences to unprecedented horizons during their participation in the “Minds” forum organized by the Abu Dhabi Stem Cells Center (ADSCC) yesterday at the Earth Hotel.
The forum, held under the theme “Artificial Intelligence in Innovative Sciences,” discussed strategic prospects for employing AI in vital fields including drug discovery and design, genomics, development of nanobodies, and enhancing researchers’ efficiency within laboratories.
Participants emphasized that this technology is not a replacement for humans but rather a partner that multiplies their capabilities, accelerates the pace of medical discoveries, and brings a qualitative leap in the future of medicine.
Professor Yendri Ventura, CEO of the Abu Dhabi Stem Cells Center, stated that artificial intelligence is a fundamental support that enhances human intellect rather than replacing it. He explained that the center views AI as a pivotal partner that accelerates the transition from research to treatment, raises scientific accuracy levels, and opens horizons for medical discoveries capable of making radical transformations in people’s lives. He affirmed that this approach practically reflects the UAE’s vision of establishing itself as a global center for health innovation.
