Mohamed El-Etreby, CEO of the National Bank of Egypt, stated that the bank’s ALCO committee met this morning and decided to adjust the yield rate on the platinum certificate in Egyptian pounds with a monthly yield for 3 years to become 17%.
They also decided to adjust the yield rates on platinum certificates with graduated monthly yields to 21% / 16.75% / 13.5%, and annual yields to 23% / 18.5% / 14%.
The CEO explained that the yield rates on dollar certificates were adjusted as follows:
- 3 years with a monthly yield of 4.75%
- 5 years with a monthly yield of 4.85%
- 7 years with a monthly yield of 4.90%
The new rates will take effect starting Monday, September 1, 2025.
