Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky threatened today (Sunday) to carry out strikes deep inside Russia, stating that the Russians lost more than 290 soldiers during the first eight months of this year.

Zelensky said in a post on his X account: “After a meeting with the army commander General Oleksandr Syrskyi, we will continue our active operations in the necessary manner to defend Ukraine,” adding that forces and resources are ready and new strikes in depth have been planned.

Zelensky wrote: “The Russian army is focusing its efforts towards Pokrovske, while our forces continue to carry out missions in the Donetsk region,” adding: “We analyzed the situation in the direction of Zaporizhzhia, as well as in the border areas of the Sumy and Kharkiv regions, and we will continue our active operations as required.”
