Amman, August 31 /BNA/ – The Jordanian Petroleum Derivatives Pricing Committee today (Sunday) set the local fuel prices for the period from September 1 to 30.
The committee announced the fixing of the price of Octane 90 gasoline at 850 piastres per liter, equivalent to about $1.20, and the price of Octane 95 gasoline at 1075 piastres per liter, approximately $1.52. Meanwhile, the diesel price was reduced to 675 piastres per liter, about $0.95, down from 690 piastres.
The committee also kept the price of kerosene at 620 piastres per liter, roughly $0.87, and maintained the price of the domestic gas cylinder (12.5 kg) at 7 Jordanian dinars, approximately $9.87 per cylinder.
The committee added that the average global Brent crude price during August reached $68.2 per barrel compared to $70.9 per barrel in July.
