Israeli Prime Minister stated that the Air Force attacked a gathering of senior Houthi leaders in Sana’a while they were watching a speech by their leader, Abdul Malik al-Houthi.
Netanyahu’s remarks came in response to Israeli airstrikes that killed ministers in the Yemeni “Ansar Allah” government in Sana’a last Thursday.
During a small cabinet meeting, Netanyahu added: “The Houthis usually promise in every speech like this to strike Israel and destroy it. They have inscribed this on their banners.”
He continued: “So, this promise will not be fulfilled, but our promise to strike the terrorist regime with greater force is being realized – and it is happening.”
He concluded: “With a decisive blow, the Israel Defense Forces eliminated most members of the Houthi government and senior military commanders. We dealt a severe blow to the Houthis and this is only the beginning.”
