His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the esteemed King of Bahrain, departed today from the city of Salalah in the Sultanate of Oman, returning safely to his homeland after a private visit. This visit was in response to a gracious invitation from his brother, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, the Sultan of Oman. During the visit, Their Majesties reviewed the distinguished historical ties and close brotherly bonds between the two countries, and discussed ways to enhance and develop strong cooperation and joint work between the brotherly nations.
At the forefront of those bidding farewell to His Majesty was his brother, Sultan Haitham bin Tariq. Before leaving Oman, His Majesty expressed his happiness and appreciation for Sultan Haitham and the esteemed people of Oman, thanking his brother for the warm reception, generous hospitality, and kind invitation to visit Salalah, which is considered one of the beautiful tourist areas attracting visitors from inside and outside Oman. This reflects the great attention the Omani government under Sultan Haitham’s leadership gives to this important tourist resort.
His Majesty extended sincere wishes for good health, wellness, and long life to Sultan Haitham, and for continued progress, growth, and prosperity to Oman and its noble people under his wise leadership. He looked forward to another meeting soon, renewing his thanks and appreciation for the warm hospitality.
Also present at the farewell were Their Highnesses and senior officials of Oman. His Majesty was accompanied safely throughout his travels.
