The opening session was attended by Alaa El-Zohairy, Chairman of the Egyptian Insurance Federation, Dr. Lobna Farid, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce at Cairo University, and Khaled Abdel-Sadek, Vice Chairman of the Federation.
Alaa El-Zohairy emphasized the Federation’s priority to empower youth and support new talents, describing the forum as a bridge linking academic education with labor market needs, contributing to the creation of a qualified generation capable of leading the insurance industry in the future.
He expressed great appreciation for the ongoing cooperation between the Federation and the Faculty of Commerce, thanking Dr. Lobna Farid for this fruitful collaboration renewed for the second consecutive year. He highlighted that such events reflect the insurance sector’s commitment to supporting new competencies and connecting academic knowledge with practical needs, affirming that investing in youth is the true investment for the future of the insurance industry and the national economy.
He also explained that the insurance sector is capable of absorbing new and diverse talents, especially amid market transformations that impose different needs and open wide horizons for modern specializations. Investment in youth extends beyond providing job opportunities to include training, qualification, and capacity building to ensure the formation of a new generation of competencies capable of leading the industry in the future.
Dr. Lobna Farid stated that the forum reflects the fruit of the partnership between the faculty and the federation, opening wide horizons for graduates by directly linking them to the labor market and its needs. She confirmed that the protocol signed between the faculty and the federation represents a strategic step toward graduating specialized cadres in actuarial sciences and various insurance fields. She conveyed apologies from Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel-Sadek, President of Cairo University, for not attending, stressing his keen interest in following the forum and fully supporting this initiative. He sends his greetings and appreciation to the federation, Egyptian insurance companies, and all participating students, wishing them success.

He pointed out that the employment forum is a genuine platform to strengthen direct dialogue between university students and insurance industry leaders. Such initiatives help youth practically understand the nature of work inside companies and give them the chance to comprehend the skills needed to join this vital sector.
The forum included several interactive workshops covering important topics such as:

The forum was widely attended by numerous professors and doctors from the Faculty of Commerce at Cairo University, insurance company leaders and experts, alongside representatives of the Egyptian Insurance Federation.
The Egyptian Insurance Federation confirms that this forum continues its role in empowering youth and building a bridge between academic education and practical labor market needs, enhancing the insurance sector’s contribution to providing job opportunities for youth.
It is noteworthy that the Egyptian Insurance Federation was established in Egypt in 1953 by Minister of Finance and Economy decree No. 156 of 1953. It is a non-profit federation composed of insurance and reinsurance companies subject to Law No. 155 of 2024 issuing the unified insurance law, article 109, regardless of the type of activity practiced. It has an independent legal personality, is considered a private law entity, and is registered in a special register at the authority, referred to in the law as the federation.
The federation aims to:
– Raise the level of the insurance industry and related insurance professions, modernize them, and consolidate the concepts and customs of proper insurance work.
– Coordinate with the authority on common issues, avoid conflicts of interest, and settle disputes among members.
– Strengthen cooperation and coordination between the federation and the authority to serve the insurance market and the national economy.
– Strengthen ties between the federation and other federations inside and outside Egypt.
