Dr. Mohamed Shaaban, Director General of the General Authority for Health Care in Luxor Governorate, conducted a field tour of the new Karnak Family Medicine Center (Nag’ Badran), accompanied by several branch department directors, to evaluate the level of services provided and monitor the regularity of work. This was in line with the directives of Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, Chairman of the General Authority for Health Care and supervisor of the comprehensive health insurance project, emphasizing continuous field follow-up to ensure the quality of medical services offered to beneficiaries.
The tour included visits to various departments of the center, especially family medicine clinics and specialty clinics, as well as inspecting pharmacy, laboratory, and radiology services, ensuring the continuous availability of medicines and medical supplies. The branch director also interacted with citizens inside the center, listening to their opinions and feedback on the medical services to assess their satisfaction and work on meeting their needs.
Dr. Mohamed Shaaban stressed the importance of adhering to quality standards and approved treatment protocols, providing safe and effective health services, reflecting the authority’s keenness to improve beneficiaries’ experience and ensure continuity of medical services without interruption. This tour is part of the continuous field follow-up plan implemented by the Luxor branch across all primary care units and centers in the governorate to enhance performance efficiency and improve service quality within the comprehensive health insurance system.
Additionally, Dr. Arefa El-Hawary, Director of Secondary and Tertiary Care, and Dr. Michael Mohsen, Director of the Technical Office at the Luxor Health Care Authority branch, conducted an inspection tour inside Karnak International Hospital. The visit included orthopedic surgery departments to follow up on patients’ post-operative cases and ensure the level of care provided, as well as listening to their feedback on the quality of medical services inside the hospital. The tour also covered monitoring the development works of the hospital’s emergency department and the scheduled timeline for completion, along with following up on preparations for the upcoming opening of new hospital departments, contributing to expanding services provided to patients and achieving the highest levels of medical quality.
