Dr. Mostafa Ramadan, Director of the Veterinary Directorate in Cairo Governorate, confirmed the continuation of vaccination efforts for animals and livestock against foot-and-mouth disease, following directives from Dr. Alaa Farouk, Minister of Agriculture, and Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Governor of Cairo, to preserve and protect livestock from diseases. Today, under the supervision of Dr. Mona Nazeer, Director General of Prevention at the Directorate, 194 heads of cattle and buffalo were vaccinated using the SAT 1 foot-and-mouth disease vaccine. Additionally, 55 animals were treated for various conditions including general weakness, malnutrition, internal and external parasites, respiratory and intestinal infections, surgery, and ear inflammation. Furthermore, 15 dogs were licensed and vaccinated against rabies.
