The Hurghada Youth Cinema Festival has closed submissions for its third edition, scheduled from September 25 to 30, 2025, in the coastal city of Hurghada. The festival’s president, screenwriter Mohamed El Bassoussi, announced that 58 films from 30 Arab and foreign countries will participate, including Russia, Germany, the USA, India, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. New competitions will be introduced this year, such as the Tourist Film competition and the Green Award for films supporting environmental and climate issues. The festival will also feature workshops and masterclasses led by prominent Egyptian and international cinema figures, with screenings and events held at the Hurghada Cultural Palace.
