A French helicopter crew survived after their ‘Moran 29’ helicopter crashed into a lake while attempting to collect water to extinguish forest fires. A witness filmed the helicopter landing on the water surface carrying a bucket to collect water before the pilot lost control and the helicopter fell into Lake Rosborden in northwest France. According to a statement from the local municipality, the pilot, accompanying officer, and a third person were taken to a local hospital with no fatalities reported. The mayor of Rosborden, Michel Louvarn, stated on social media that authorities have taken measures to contain pollution risks in the lake.
