Two U.S. Congresswomen condemned the Israeli airstrike targeting Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip, which killed civilians including journalists and aid workers. Congresswoman Nydia Velázquez described the attack as deliberate and horrific, stating that hospitals should never be battlegrounds. She criticized the continued U.S. funding of Israel’s war on Gaza, emphasizing that Washington cannot keep financing these war crimes. Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib held every American politician who supports arming this genocidal regime responsible for the massacres. Since October 7, 2023, with U.S. support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza involving killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring international calls and International Court of Justice orders to stop. The Israeli genocide has resulted in 62,744 Palestinian deaths, 158,259 injuries mostly women and children, over 9,000 missing persons, hundreds of thousands displaced, and a famine that killed 300 Palestinians including 117 children as of Monday.
