A basketball card signed by Michael Jordan and the late Kobe Bryant, legends of the NBA, was sold at a public auction for approximately $13 million, setting a record for any sports card. Heritage Auctions announced receiving 82 bids for the 2007-2008 Upper Deck Logoman card before it sold on Sunday for $12.932 million. This value surpassed the previous record of $12.6 million paid for a 1952 Topps Rookie baseball card of Mickey Mantle at a 2022 Heritage auction. According to the memorabilia company, the card was purchased by a group including Kevin O’Leary, the famous investor from the TV show “Shark Tank.” The Jordan-Bryant card is unique, featuring authenticated signatures from both stars and NBA patches from the jerseys they wore in games.
