In the early hours of Tuesday, the Israeli occupation army advanced into the town of Suwaisa in the Quneitra countryside in southern Syria and arrested a young man amid local residents’ resistance. The Syrian official news channel reported that Israeli forces conducted raids and searches in the area and fired flares into the sky. This marks the fourth Israeli incursion into Quneitra province during August 2025. Despite Syria’s commitment to the 1974 separation of forces agreement, Israel has repeatedly violated Syrian sovereignty, occupying Mount Hermon and a 15-kilometer security strip in southern Syria for seven months, and controlling most of the Syrian Golan Heights since 1967.
