The General Sheikhdom of Sufi Orders has called on its followers across Egypt to participate in the Mawlid al-Nabawi procession, which will take place on Sunday, September 15, 2024, corresponding to the 12th of Rabi’ al-Awwal 1446 AH. The procession will start after Asr prayer from Sidi Saleh Al-Jaafari Mosque and proceed to the courtyard of Imam Hussein Mosque. The Sufi orders hold three annual processions: the Islamic New Year procession, the Mawlid procession, and the Ramadan crescent sighting procession. Dr. Abdel Hadi Al-Qasabi, head of the Supreme Council of Sufi Orders, emphasized the highest level of cooperation and full coordination with Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, the Ministry of Endowments, the Grand Mufti of Egypt, and the Syndicate of Ashraf. He stated that religious state institutions stand united to support the Egyptian state during these times that require solidarity in all fields.
