Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein and Qatari Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi confirmed the unification of positions to serve the just cause of the Palestinian people. According to a statement by the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported by the Iraqi News Agency on Monday, the two sides discussed, on the sidelines of the extraordinary meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, joint efforts regarding the Palestinian cause and emphasized the importance of unifying positions to serve the just cause of the Palestinian people. The statement also confirmed the shared keenness to enhance and develop relations between Iraq and Qatar in various fields to serve the common interests of the two brotherly peoples.
