The data showed that the leather and leather products industry index reached 46.15 in June compared to 41.68 in May, a 10.72% increase due to higher supply and demand. The index for computers, electronic, optical products, and medical devices rose to 174.46 in June from 125.11 in May, a 39.45% increase for the same reasons. Conversely, the wood and cork products industry index (excluding furniture) dropped to 32.55 in June from 34.59 in May, a 5.90% decrease due to lower supply and demand. The textiles industry index also declined to 153.37 in June from 163.23 in May, a 6.04% decrease. Overall, the agency updated the index methodology using the base year 2012/2013 according to the industrial activity guide (ISIC Rev.4) and the monthly producer price index since January 2020.
