Prices remained steady among companies and distributors after the recent increase. Ahmed El-Zeiny, head of the building materials division at the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, confirmed the stability of iron prices today among companies and distributors, with prices ranging from 39,200 to about 40,000 EGP. The market awaits the determination of the new iron price for this month. Factory prices range between 38,000 and 38,500 EGP per ton, reaching consumers with an increase of about 1,000 EGP per ton depending on the governorate and type of iron company. Prices for major companies include Ezz Steel at 38,800 EGP and Beshay Steel at 38,600 EGP. Iron is one of the most important raw materials used in construction projects across Egypt.
