His Highness Prince Fahd bin Saad bin Faisal bin Saad, Deputy Emir of Al-Qassim Region, visited the Buraidah Date Festival currently held at King Khalid Cultural Center in Buraidah city. During the visit, he reviewed the festival’s various pavilions, wings, and programs that reflect the region’s heritage and its connection to palm trees and dates. He listened to explanations about accompanying activities highlighting date products and derivatives, traditional crafts and industries related to palm trees, alongside interactive programs targeting different community groups.
The Deputy Emir appreciated the efforts made in organizing the festival, which serves as an economic and heritage platform contributing to showcasing the status of Al-Qassim dates and enhancing their local and international presence. He praised the participation of productive families and entrepreneurs in supporting the region’s economic and social movement.
He emphasized the importance of continuing such tourism events that reflect Al-Qassim’s agricultural and heritage identity and support the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 in developing the agricultural and tourism sectors.
