Mohamed Eid, Secretary for Egyptians Abroad at the Egypt October Party, confirmed that the runoff round of the 2025-2030 Senate elections for Egyptians abroad began today, Monday, and will continue until Tuesday across 136 polling stations in 117 countries. This represents a natural extension of the honorable national role played by members of the Egyptian diaspora in the first round.
Eid pointed out in a statement today that the wide participation of Egyptians abroad is not only a constitutional duty but also a clear message to the world that Egyptians, wherever they are, are keen to support the state’s progress and the completion of its legislative institutions to enhance stability and development.
He noted that the supervision of Egyptian ambassadors and diplomats over the voting process reflects the state’s keenness to ensure the integrity and transparency of the electoral process. He also confirmed that the National Elections Authority played a pivotal role in organizing the runoff round according to the specified timetable, ensuring safe and effective participation.
The Egypt October Party leader stressed that Egyptians abroad have proven at every electoral stage that they are an integral part of the Egyptian state’s equation, and their participation is inseparable from that of their brothers inside the country, complementing it and giving the electoral experience a global dimension. He called for the continuation of their honorable presence in the runoff round, affirming that these elections represent a new step towards enhancing parliamentary life and consolidating political pluralism in Egypt.
