Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, the Prime Minister, held a meeting to follow up on the efforts made by various government bodies to provide the necessary petroleum products for the industrial and agricultural sectors, as well as other developmental sectors. The meeting was attended by several ministers including the Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development, the Minister of Industry and Transport, the Minister of State for Military Production, the Minister of Finance, the Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, the Minister of Public Business Sector, the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, and other officials.

The Prime Minister emphasized the government’s commitment to advancing targeted sectors, especially industry and agriculture, to meet local market needs within the framework of industrial localization and achieving food security. There is continuous oversight by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on these efforts, including expanding agricultural land reclamation.

The government is working to ensure the supply of petroleum products to these sectors, which are vital for driving development, aligning with Egypt’s Vision 2030 to secure energy as a cornerstone for sustainable development.

The meeting also reviewed the Ministry of Petroleum’s efforts to secure national gas supplies through increased local extraction and the provision of floating regasification units, ensuring the continuity of gas supply to the electricity sector and factories, thus sustaining production.

Additionally, infrastructure development in the gas sector was discussed, highlighting the increased regasification capacity that guarantees flexibility and continuity of gas supplies to vital sectors, including industry, supporting the growth of these sectors and strengthening the national economy.
