His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Emir of the Eastern Province, received today at his office the Deputy Minister of Energy for Electricity Affairs, Engineer Raed bin Abdulaziz Al-Shuneiber, accompanied by several ministry leaders. The Emir praised the continuous support of the wise leadership for developing the energy sector, emphasizing the importance of electricity as a fundamental pillar for economic growth and improving quality of life. Engineer Al-Shuneiber presented the main targets of the electricity sector within the national energy system, highlighting the ministry’s strategic plan based on efficiency, sustainability, and diversification. The Deputy Minister expressed his gratitude to the Emir for his keen interest and follow-up in the electricity sector, affirming the ministry’s commitment to continue developing the system and diversifying energy sources to enhance efficiency, reduce emissions, and support sustainability.

Additionally, the Emir received Dr. Adel bin Mohammed Abu Zanadah, President of King Faisal University, and university deputies on the occasion of the start of the academic year 1447 AH. The Emir praised the wise leadership’s support for universities and commended King Faisal University as a prominent scientific institution contributing to serving the nation’s sons and daughters and enhancing developmental movement through its academic programs, scientific research, and community initiatives. He stressed the importance of aligning academic specializations with labor market needs to prepare qualified national competencies capable of meeting development requirements. The university president presented a report on the university’s plans for the new year, including key academic, research, and developmental achievements, ongoing and future projects, expressing thanks to the Emir for the support and attention given to the university.
