On Monday evening, television programs covered several important issues concerning the Egyptian public and public opinion. Osama Al-Daleel, chief of international affairs at Al-Ahram Al-Arabi, confirmed that Egypt remains firm in its stance regarding the Palestinian cause. He warned against the so-called “final displacement” plan that Israel seeks to impose by forcibly displacing one million Palestinians, aiming to weaken Egypt’s position and distract public opinion from national constants. He emphasized the need to avoid emotional rhetoric as it serves the goals of the Zionist entity. Al-Daleel stressed that Gaza is Palestinian land, not Egyptian, and highlighted Egypt’s significant political, economic, and humanitarian support for the Palestinian people. Egypt acts within its national sovereignty and rejects any form of occupation or guardianship over Palestinian territories. He also criticized media campaigns that distort Egypt’s image internally and externally, calling for societal awareness and systematic confrontation of misinformation.
Dr. Ayman Mohsen, Deputy of the Arab Affairs Committee in the Egyptian Parliament, praised the honorable participation of Egyptians abroad in the Senate runoff elections, reflecting their awareness and connection to their homeland. He thanked the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for facilitating voting procedures.
MP Atef Al-Maghawry, Deputy Head of the Tagammu Party and head of its parliamentary bloc, stated that the party is preparing for the parliamentary elections with 70 candidates running individually. He emphasized the party’s commitment to its cadres and rejection of external temptations.
Major General Mohamed Al-Ghabari, former director of the National Defense College and advisor at the Military Academy for Higher Studies and Strategy, described the events in Gaza as a “strategic deception” by Israel to divert global attention from its real plan focused on the West Bank and Syria. He explained that Israel considers Gaza outside the “King David’s Map” and withdrew in 2005 but uses it as a tool to create crises while working to displace Palestinians from the West Bank, having expelled over 40,000 Palestinians in the past two years and completely removed four camps. Al-Ghabari highlighted Israel’s use of religious and historical rhetoric to legitimize its expansionist moves, including control over the Golan Heights and Quneitra in Syria, threatening Druze areas near Damascus, aiming to split Syria and reach the Euphrates River.
He concluded by stressing the need for comprehensive Arab strategic awareness as the real danger lies not only in Gaza but also in the West Bank and Syria where the Zionist plan is being implemented.
