Following special directives from Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Pakistan’s National Disaster Management Authority, in cooperation with the Service Foundation, sent the second shipment of the latest batch of humanitarian and relief supplies to the brotherly people of the Gaza Strip via the Arab Republic of Egypt.

Today, a special chartered plane from Pakistan landed at Al-Arish International Airport in Egypt carrying 100 tons of humanitarian and relief supplies.

The Pakistani Ambassador to Egypt, Ambassador Amir Shaukat, received the relief shipment, which was handed over to the Egyptian Red Crescent Society to be sent to the Palestinian citizens inside Gaza. The Deputy Governor of North Sinai also attended the aid delivery.

Ambassador Amir Shaukat expressed his deep gratitude to the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt, led by His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and the Egyptian Red Crescent Society for the smooth facilitation of delivering aid from the Government and people of Pakistan to their Palestinian brothers. The Deputy Governor of North Sinai praised the significant humanitarian and relief assistance provided by the Government and people of Pakistan to the residents of Gaza.

Ambassador Amir Shaukat reaffirmed that the Government and people of Pakistan will continue to provide urgently needed humanitarian assistance to their Palestinian brothers during this critical moment. He indicated that more humanitarian shipments are on their way and will be delivered in coordination with the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt in the coming days to Palestinians inside the Gaza Strip.

A total of 21 humanitarian and relief shipments have been sent to Palestinians in Gaza, bringing the total amount delivered to 2,027 tons so far.
