The health system in the Gaza Strip is witnessing a complete collapse amid systematic targeting of hospitals, medical staff, and journalists in documented massacres witnessed worldwide. Dr. Khalil Al-Daqran, spokesperson for Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, revealed the scale of the humanitarian disaster, confirming that the occupation disregards all international laws and conventions. The number of medical staff martyrs has risen to over 1,600, alongside 244 journalists and 38 civil defense members, all providing humanitarian services under exceptional conditions. The health infrastructure in Gaza has suffered extensive destruction, with 22 hospitals out of service, including the only central government hospital in Gaza governorate, leaving citizens without basic medical care amid worsening humanitarian and health conditions. Hospitals continue to face direct bombings despite being full of patients, with severe shortages of medicines, medical supplies, and essential equipment.

The occupation continues to block the entry of medicine, water, treatments, medical supplies, and baby formula, pushing the health system towards total collapse. Statistics indicate that more than 600,000 children in Gaza are deprived of essential vaccinations, suffering from malnutrition, famine, iron deficiency, and lack of basic life necessities. The number of child martyrs has exceeded 18,000, with over 11,000 women martyred, and the total number of martyrs surpassing 63,000. Al-Daqran called for an international investigation into these documented crimes, emphasizing that they cannot pass unnoticed as they occur before the eyes and ears of the world. He stated that anyone capable of pressuring to stop these massacres but remains inactive becomes complicit with the occupation in these crimes.

Recently, the World Health Organization, UNICEF, the World Food Programme, and the Food and Agriculture Organization issued a joint statement in Geneva confirming that over half a million people in Gaza are trapped in famine, urging Israel to ensure the unobstructed provision of food and medical supplies to Gaza residents to reduce deaths caused by hunger and malnutrition.
