The ministers also reviewed regional developments, foremost the Libyan file, emphasizing the importance of supporting the Libyan-Libyan political process to preserve Libya’s unity and sovereignty and the withdrawal of all mercenaries and foreign forces as the only way to achieve security and stability. They also stressed the need to continue activating the tripartite mechanism of Libya’s neighboring countries—Egypt, Algeria, and Tunisia—to coordinate efforts and follow up.
