Dr. Riyad Mansour, the Permanent Representative of the State of Palestine to the United Nations, expressed gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for their unlimited support for the Palestinian cause and the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people to self-determination, independence, and sovereignty over the borders of June 4, with Jerusalem as its capital, and the right of return for refugees.

This was stated during his speech at the 21st extraordinary session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) held today at the OIC General Secretariat headquarters in Jeddah, highlighting the efforts of the OIC members, its secretariat, and the Secretary-General in uniting and rallying the Islamic front.

He pointed out Israel’s pursuit to impose full military control over the Gaza Strip, prolong the war, and prevent the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, noting the Israeli government’s repeated clear affirmations of this.

He said, “The Israeli Prime Minister’s statement about achieving the dream of Greater Israel from the Nile to the Euphrates, which we strongly condemn and must repel, is just an additional clarification of this aggression targeting the region,” referring to the adoption of the illegal “Smotrich” plan for settlement expansion and annexation of the occupied West Bank by the occupation authorities, which requires condemnation and the rejection of these actions that undermine the two-state solution.

He emphasized that the way to force Israel to change its course is the ability to turn condemnations into actions that achieve justice and end the injustice against the Palestinian people. In this context, the high-level international conference co-chaired by Saudi Arabia and France adopted an international plan starting with ending the use of famine as a weapon of war, ending the war on Gaza through a permanent ceasefire, releasing hostages and prisoners, full Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, supporting the Arab-Islamic plan to rebuild Gaza, and holding a conference in Cairo on this matter after the aggression stops.

He explained that the plan sets an irreversible path towards establishing a sovereign independent Palestinian state leading to shared peace, security, and regional integration. He added that the Palestinian side presented plans and proposals alongside cooperation with all efforts aiming to facilitate reaching an agreement to end the war, calling for acting by all available means, including Chapter VII of the Security Council, to deprive Israel of the tools that help it continue this brutal war, hold it accountable for its crimes, and send an immediate international protection force to save the Palestinian people.
