Nazeli Baghdasaryan, spokesperson for the Armenian Prime Minister, announced on Monday that Nikol Pashinyan will participate in the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit scheduled to be held in China. Baghdasaryan stated in exclusive remarks to the official Armenpress news agency that the summit will take place from August 31 to September 1, confirming the Prime Minister’s participation. Leaders and heads of governments from several countries are expected to attend this event. The SCO is an international organization established in 2001 by Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. Since then, several countries including India, Pakistan, Iran, and Belarus have joined. Egypt, as the only African country, along with Saudi Arabia and Qatar, joined the organization as dialogue partners at the 2023 summit.
