Osama Al-Dalil, chief of the International Affairs Department at Al-Ahram Al-Arabi, affirmed that the so-called “last displacement” plan that Israel seeks to impose by displacing one million Palestinians aims to weaken Egypt’s position and distract public opinion from national constants. He stressed the necessity of avoiding emotional rhetoric as it serves the goals of the Zionist entity.
In his interview with journalist Azza Mustafa on the program “Al-Sa’a 6” broadcast on Al-Hayat channel, Al-Dalil stated that Gaza is Palestinian land, not Egyptian, and that Egypt has provided significant political, economic, and humanitarian support to the Palestinian people. He pointed out that Egypt acts within its national sovereignty and rejects any form of occupation or guardianship over Palestinian territories. He added that the media is responsible for providing accurate information to build an aware public opinion, not for falling into misleading news or defamation campaigns.
Al-Dalil criticized media campaigns that seek to distort the image of the Egyptian state internally and externally, noting that some platforms spread lies and sow doubts to create division. He affirmed that Egypt is an ancient country with a rich civilization, and preserving its stability requires societal awareness and a systematic confrontation of misinformation attempts.
